HP Pavilion TX1000Z 12.1″ Touch Screen TABLET
Posted by bensto in HP on 04 18th, 2008
This laptop does not have Wacom digitizer and active display. This model has a passive display, and what that means is that you would be able to write on the screen as successfully as you try to write something in you Blackberry.
When you try to write on the screen you have to apply so much pressure and the hand has to be at a certain angle. Even that did not always help me as a result I got a bunch of dots or some weird looking lines that did not resemble any letters. The pen primarily serves a function of the mouse. And also forget about trying to draw anything, it will not work the same as the writing.
The computer is loaded with HPs bloatware (as usual) and Vista is slower than XP. The comp is unable to play any games (tried Command and Conquer) due to its weak videocard. In addition the screen is very grainy though it was expected.
If you you are looking for a real tablet get yourself their new tx2000 which has Wacon Penable digitizer and an active display. That baby will allow you to write on it like on the real paper with no problems at all.

The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is said to be ‘an American supercar that brings the technology and engineering refinement of carbon-fiber, ceramics and electronics together in a distinctive design.’
The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will be powered by the new LS9 supercharged 6.2L V8 engine which engineers are still messing around with to hit a target of 620 horsepower and approximately 595 lb-ft. of torque. The new Corvette ZR1 was built on the same aluminum-intensive chassis as the Corvette Z06 which features similar independent SLA front and rear suspensions, with aluminum upper and lower control arms. The ZR1, however, gets a new suspension tuning, which was optimized for the car’s steamroller-wide front and rear tires.
The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will only be available with two options including chrome wheels and a “luxury” package when it hits dealerships next summer. Pricing is expected to be around $100,000.
The Canon PowerShot A590 IS

Canon put essence over style when it designed the PowerShot A590 IS, and in doing so it made a awesome camera. Whereas the clunky-looking 8-megapixel shooter looks bland when compared with colorful, ultraslim, style-minded cameras, its remarkable insides help produce some of the nicest photos you’ll shoot for less than $200.
The chunky, practical design gives the A590 IS a functional and easy-to-handle feel at the expense of aesthetics. A large protrusion houses the camera’s two AA batteries on the right side of the body and also provides a steady grip. The 2.5-inch LCD screen leaves enough room for an optical viewfinder, a convenient sliding mode switch, and several large, responsive buttons. While it won’t slip as easily into a pocket as an ultracompact camera, and won’t elicit any impressed gasps from your friends, the A590 IS simply feels comfortable to use.
